In fact, English cricketer Laurie Evans has been caught in the trap of doping. Although he has denied any wrongdoing, the result of his sample in the dope test has come positive. Evans said in a statement through the ‘Professional Cricketers’ Association’ on Monday that he was surprised by the results of the investigation in August. He was in England that month playing with Manchester Originals in ‘The Hundred’ competition. Evans did not say what substance was confirmed to be present in his sample. He has denied the use of any banned substance.
Evans denied any wrongdoing
Evans pleaded not guilty, saying, “I believe in fair play and have never used a banned substance.” I do not know how the banned substance has been confirmed in the test. Me and my team are investigating how this could have happened and I am doing everything possible to find out.
The Perth Scorchers said they were disappointed to learn about it. In these circumstances, the franchise and Evans and his management have decided to terminate his contract for the next Australian season.
